A Legacy Unmatched

BP's has been in support of the U.S. for almost two-hundred years. They worked with foundation companies like Atlantic Refining and Richfield Petroleum
 In the 1960s, the two conglomerates merged, forming Atlantic Richfield or the recognizeable gasoline giant, ARCO. Within the same decade, Standard Oil of Ohio (Sohio) and BP negotiated terms that led to the first oil to flow from the North Slope of Alaska through the Trans-Alaska pipeline in 1977. I would not call this a Stellar accomplishment due to the environmental repercussions but I will prove my point in a bit. Ten more years past and BP bought out Sohio and made it the pillar of a new national operation, BP America. In 1998, Amoco and BP announced their strategized fusion, combining their global operations into a single federation. in rapid sucession, the new company became the largest producer of both oil and natural gas in the U.S. rush forward to 2017: BP is leading the way in aiding to meet the energy needs of both America and the world.
Remember Your Priorities!

The point to expalining this?
The biggest oil producer in the U.S. is now the largest renewable energy business of any major international oil and gas company.
Clean and sustainable

Proof?
BP operates 13 wind farms in the states of Colorado, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Pennsylvania, South Dakota and Texas — while having a seperate location in Hawaii. The company surveys that, in 2015, a net wind showcase the size of BP’s helped avoid close to 3 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions. To break this down:
billions of pounds of Carbon Dioxide
  • the yearly electricity-related emissions of around 400,000 typical residences;
  • the emissions produced by burning around 2.9 billion pounds of coal;
  • or the emissions produced by using more than 300 million gallons of gasoline!
Once again, this company is the biggest oil producer in the U.S. yet even they are making great investments in Alternate Energy Options.
What's your excuse?
Perhaps you think your contribution won't make a difference.
Just one residence will
  • Reduce your carbon foot print
  • Improve your local economy (especially if the whole neighorhood follows suit)
  • Clean energy that is reliable and will leave a planet for our children's children to enjoy.
Its not too late!
